I want to express my profound disappointment with the family law mediation services provided by Michael Jackson. From start to finish, it was evident that Michael Jackson had no intention of maintaining neutrality or acting as a fair mediator. Instead of facilitating constructive communication between parties, Michael Jackson seemed to relish taking on the roles of judge, jury, and prosecutor. Throughout the mediation process, Michael Jackson displayed a complete lack of professionalism and neutrality. Instead of guiding the discussion and helping both parties reach a mutually beneficial agreement, Michael Jackson consistently injected personal opinions, made biased remarks, and displayed clear favoritism towards one party. It was disheartening to see Michael Jackson disregard the basic principles of mediation and fail to maintain a neutral stance. Rather than creating a safe space for open dialogue and resolution, Michael Jackson seemed more interested in pushing his own agenda and imposing his views on the situation. In conclusion, I would strongly advise against utilizing the services of Michael Jackson for any family law mediation needs. His unprofessionalism, lack of neutrality, and clear disregard for the mediation process make him unfit to serve as a mediator. It is crucial for individuals seeking mediation services to find a professional who truly embodies the values of neutrality and fairness, qualities that Michael Jackson sorely lacks.

Mr Jackson clearly picks out the weaker link in mediation and attempts to bully that person into giving in. He told me that I would have to assume all the marital debt, which is not legal, stating the credit cards were in my name alone with my husband as an authorized user. It was supposed to be a half day of mediation but we were there from 9am until after 6pm, even though my children needed to be picked up from daycare and the daycare closed at 6. I was a breastfeeding mother at the time and had no opportunities to pump and the only “meal” I had all day was an apple and a small bag of lays potato chips. Highly unprofessional. Folks, don’t let this man bully you around, walk out and hire a good attorney. I would NOT recommend Rebecca Gonzalez law firm. Good luck guys, wish you all well.

I am a family law attorney and when given the option, I will use Mr. Jackson to mediate my family cases. He is fair, professional, hard working and prepares typed agreements with all the standard provisions needed for a final order, so parties can walk away with a useable agreement. He makes his calendar available even on weekends. I have been pleased each time I have used his services.

So it has taken me a VERY long time to review this individual. We were sent to him by a judge ( who said he had a good friend that was a mediator) because essentially my lawyer said she was not "ready for trial" and because I had no other recourse except incompetence, i went along with this mediation ( second one to be exact, first one my ex didn't even show up for and my lawyer did not push the issue ). Keep in mind, my ex's lawyer laughed and said he would pay for the mediation for his client, i asked my lawyer and she said absolutely not- despite she was the one not ready.

When we got to Mr. Jackson's office, I had not been in a sit down with my ex since i was assaulted by him the year prior (2015), so i was nervous and hesitant. i expressed that to my lawyer who said this mediator, Michael Jackson, will be charging me whether i walk in or not- so i went in.

He asked me why i was hesitant, and i told him about what had happened in front of my kids the year before and he stated, " You must have done something to deserve it". By "it" he was referring to my assault with bodily injury i sustained in front of my children. I freaked out and asked my lawyer why she was not coming to my aid and she just stayed quiet, in a bit of shock and disbelief and fear it seemed. He kept going on his rant and then i stopped him and asked if he had a daughter and what he would say to a man telling his daughter what he told me... his response was my daughter wouldn't put herself in that position. (It may have been phrased differently, it's been a while and that's all i remember). He goes on to say why did you drop the case if it was so bad, don't sit there and say you were scared... i mean this guy had my answers for me...and he was RIGHT! I WAS SCARED!!!! Nonetheless. He calls the other party in. Other party says he is not looking to make a deal and M.J. looks at me blankly and states very flatly, "That will be $500, cash or card?" This emotionless lack of a man is the reason a LOT of us victims do NOT report violence. People say it's our fault then push it under a rug as if it is nothing to talk about or be sad about.

The other day, I found myself in a pickle at work with sexual harrassment and my co worker asked me why I didn't call someone, and I told her this story about how it is always our fault...and the words she gave me propelled me to write this and give my truth about my experience with this mediator.

Totally bias and unfit mediator, he had the nerve to call the judge appointed child evaluator and me a lier to my face. His unfounded biases said the evaluation was of "full of holes", he even let the other party get away with repeatedly use hearsay as proof, then had to nerve to down play my actual evidence.

Horrible mediator! He will take one side and believe their lies and once you’re backed into a corner and out of money to fight, you’ll have to accept an unfair offer. Would give zero starts if I could.

He was not fair, and really arrogant. Did not want to listen even when I had all the evidence to prove the other party was wrong.

Neither fair nor impartial. The very example of why the legal profession is not considered respectable.
